As currently presented, the Vice-Chairs only stated role, is to stand for the Chair, if the Chair is absent.
This amendment will create specific positions in our Party structure, while also removing some of the
ambiguity over who is traditionally responsible for certain duties.
C. If the County Chairman fails, refuses or neglects to call a County Convention as required by this
Article, it shall become the duty of the Vice-Chairman to act in this capacity. The Vice-Chairman shall
give five (5) days written notice, as defined by Article V.1., and notice by newspaper, as defined in Article
V.A.4., to all Precinct Chairmen and County Executive Committee members. If the County Chairman or
Vice-Chairman does not call such a meeting, it shall be cause for any Member of the County Executive
Committee, with the approval of the Congressional District Chairman, or Chairmen, to call such County
Convention.

Committee and any other committee deemed necessary to conduct the business of the County
Executive Committee (subject to the advice and consent of the County Executive Committee).

Member of the Congressional District(s) and State Executive Committees. The 1st Vice-Chair shall Chair
the Forsyth County Republican Party Finance and Auditing Committee and is responsible for overseeing
the preparation of the party’s annual budget, shall assist the Treasurer in the preparation and
submission of official financial reports, and oversee of all official fundraising activities of the Forsyth
County Republican Party.
b2. The 2nd Vice-Chair for Communications shall function as the second ranking Vice-Chair and is
responsible for coordination of the external communications of the Forsyth County Republican Party.
This Vice-Chair works with the advice and consent of the Executive Committee to promote the Forsyth
County Republican Party and to make residents of Forsyth County generally aware of the party’s
platform, policies, and activities. The 2nd Vice-Chair shall use social media, print media, radio, television,
the Party official website and other emerging digital platforms to educate the public about the Forsyth
County Republican Party.
b3. The 3rd Vice-Chair for Programs, Events, and Scheduling shall function as the third ranking Vice-Chair
and is responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of the Forsyth County Republican Party,
with the advice and consent of the Party’s Executive Committee. Party activities include special dinners
and celebrations, booths and support at fairs and festivals and other information sharing opportunities,
and Party and candidate participation in political forums. This Vice-Chair is the custodian and chief
content manager for the Party’s official calendar and coordinates with the 2nd Vice-Chair to ensure
relevant activities are published and broadly disseminated.

Committee shall be composed of the County Finance Chairman, the County Chairman, County Vice-
Chairman, the County Treasurer, and not less than three (3) persons approved by the County Executive

shall have active management of fund-raising efforts within the County.
