Precinct Organization Structure

 

Precinct Chair: The chair is responsible for organizing the voting precinct which includes recruiting and training members for his/her precinct organization. The precinct chair also assigns individuals to specific positions within the precinct. The chair is also must remain informed about new republican voters moving into the precinct. The Precinct Chair is also a member of the Forsyth County GOP Executive Committee, which is the governing body of the county party.

 

Precinct Vice-Chair: The vice chair assists the chair in the performance of their duty and fills in when the chair is unavailable.

 

Secretary: The secretary is responsible for keeping records of meetings, maintaining contact information of the volunteers and their assignments within the precinct.

 

Block/Street Captain: The captain receives their assignment from the precinct chair or the vice chair and is responsible for getting out the republican and unaffiliated voters in their assigned streets or assigned areas.

 

Precinct Judge (paid position): Judges assist voters and work at voting locations from the time the polls open until they close each day during early voting and on Election Day. Judges receive their training from the Forsyth County Board of Elections.

 

Greeters: Our greeters pass out election material and candidate information to voters at the polls during early voting and Election Day.

 

Events Coordinator (optional): The events coordinator is responsible for planning activities and events for republicans within each precinct.
