Precinct Chair of the Year
Amendment to Article III Section E Paragraph 3 (New Paragraphs)
Award recipients must meet the following criteria for each award.
Lonesome Ed Award. Named after Ed McKnight. The recipient of this award shall be an elected Forsyth County official that consistently takes a principled, conservative stance and stands up to pressure.
Charles Wallschleger Award. The recipient of this award shall be a consistent and reliable Forsyth County resident and FCGOP volunteer that is very active in grassroots work.
The Larry Brown Award. The recipient of this award shall be the most community-oriented Forsyth County resident and FCGOP volunteer.
The Bill Whiteheart Spirit Award. This award is not necessarily given annually, but at the discretion of the NAC.
The recipient of this award shall be a Forsyth County resident and FCGOP volunteer that demonstrates the characteristics of its namesake, former County Commissioner Bill Whiteheart. Those characteristics are generosity, graciousness, statesmanship, consistency, devotion to the party, relationship builder, and eloquence.
Precinct Chair of the Year. The recipient of this award shall be the FCGOP Precinct Chair that recruits the most volunteers from within their precinct. The recipient of this award, and the recipient’s spouse, shall also receive free admission into the FCGOP fundraiser that year.
The recipients of these awards shall be determined by a simple majority vote of the Nomination and Awards Committee.
