Welcome to the RNC weekly newsletter - The Republican Week - bringing you the biggest moments.

THE MAIN THING: Biden’s Border Crisis is Unchecked

WATCH HERE

This week, the Republican National Committee (RNC) released a new video series, “Unchecked,” displaying the horrors of Joe Biden’s open border crisis.

  • The series features interviews with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX), former acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Ron Vitiello and Townhall journalist Julio Rosas.

Since Biden took office, more than two million illegal immigrants have been apprehended at the border.

More than 150,000 illegal immigrants have crossed the border every month for 12 straight months – the worst border crisis in DHS history.

  • “Plain and simple: Joe Biden is the root cause of the pain and suffering on the border,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

Bottom Line: Biden is a failed leader - he left the border unchecked and created the worst border crisis in DHS history.

On the Supreme Court, the RNC is Holding Democrats Accountable

The RNC is ensuring Democrats up and down the ballot will have to answer for Ketanji Brown Jackson’s radical record come November.

Fox News reported, “The RNC has already poured significant effort into messaging around Jackson's confirmation, including posting dozens of clips online and doing copious media interviews.”

  • It's even staged protests at the in-state offices of vulnerable Sens. Catherine Cortez-Masto, D-Nev., and Mark Kelly. D-Ariz.”

The RNC will highlight Jackson’s disastrous hearings in literature and scripts when talking to voters over the phone and knocking on doors.

  • "The RNC will ensure that Democrats up and down the ballot must answer the questions that Jackson couldn’t. From now to November, vulnerable Democrats will be held accountable for endorsing Jackson’s radical record,” said RNC Chairwoman McDaniel.

NEW: Vice President Mike Pence on Real America Podcast with RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel

WATCH HERE

On this week’s episode, Chairwoman McDaniel sat down with former Vice President Mike Pence to discuss the Biden administration’s international failures, the war in Ukraine, the Supreme Court, and the long record of successes from the Trump-Pence administration.

Weakness on the world stage: “The reality is from the first days of the Biden administration you literally saw the reopening of the Iran nuclear deal, you saw an administration that stood silent while rockets showered down on our most cherished ally, Israel,” Pence said.

  • “You saw an administration shut down the Keystone Pipeline in our country and then approved the Nord Stream 2 pipeline for the Russians to Europe,” he continued. “And, of course, the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. I believe all send a message of weakness to the world, and weakness arouses evil.”

Undermining independence: “What Biden has done with stopping the drilling on federal lands, shutting down the Keystone Pipeline within the first month of his presidency—it doesn't have just international implications. It's affecting us domestically here at home,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. "Under the Trump-Pence administration, we were energy independent and it was a priority.”

Tone deaf: The two also talked about how Biden has only paid “lip service” to the issues Americans care about most as midterms approach.

  • Rather than offer practical solutions to everyday problems, Democrats would rather advance their partisan agenda.

Biden Economy Continues to Leave Americans Behind

Falling short: Today’s jobs report offers no comfort to the average American, who is facing the highest inflation in 40 years, decreasing real wages, and a lower standard of living, with no relief in sight.

  • The jobs report shows that Bidenflation is shrinking workers’ paychecks, with rising prices eating up any wage growth.
  • Almost two-thirds of Americans now disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy, a new low.
  • Despite this, Biden just released a $5.8 trillion out-of-touch budget that will increase the national debt, raise taxes on hardworking Americans, and waste trillions of taxpayer dollars on a far-left wish list.

It’s not just jobs. Consumer prices have spiked 7.9% compared to last year – surging past economists’ expectations and reaching a new 40-year high

Americans know higher prices are a result of Biden’s failed economic policies:

  • 58% of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy.
  • 70% disapprove of his handling of inflation.
  • 70% disapprove of his handling of rising gas prices.

In fact, according to Quinnipiac, only 36% of Americans approve of Biden’s overall job performance. A majority 55% disapprove.
