RNC STATEMENT ON THE BURDEN OF BIDEN ON VIRGINIA DEMOCRATS

WASHINGTON - Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on Biden's visit to Virginia:

"Virginia voters soundly rejected Joe Biden and Democrats’ agenda. From forcing masks on school children, and skyrocketing grocery and gas prices, Biden has shown he doesn’t care. Biden was a burden to Virginia Democrats in 2021, and it’s only getting worse.”

Background:

As Joe Biden and Abigail Spanberger tout “Build Back Broke,” VA-07 voters reject the Democrats’ reckless agenda.
- Abigail Spanberger won VA-07 by 1.8% in 2020 while Governor Glenn Youngkin won the district by roughly 11 percentage points in 2021.
- Abigail Spanberger herself recently admitted that she’s “going to have a hard time getting re-elected” this November.

Despite voting 100% of the time with Nancy Pelosi in the 117^th Congress, Abigail Spanberger has made critical comments distancing herself from Joe Biden’s spending agenda.
