RNC STATEMENT ON THE BIDEN ADMIN WITHDRAWING ITS EMERGENCY VACCINE MANDATE
WASHINGTON – Following news that the Biden administration has decided to withdraw its emergency vaccine mandate on private businesses, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement:
"Today marks a major victory in the RNC's fight to protect workers and businesses from Biden and Democrats’ authoritarian vaccine mandates. Hardworking Americans should not be forced to choose between being vaccinated and providing for their families. The Biden administration may have surrendered in their attempt to force their 'emergency' vaccine mandate, but the fight is not over. The Republican National Committee’s legal team will continue to protect workers and businesses from Joe Biden’s authoritarian overreach."
Background:
- The Biden Administration has announced it is withdrawing its “emergency” Vaccine Mandate on employers with over 100 employees.
- This announcement follows a decisive U.S. Supreme Court order halting the enforcement of the Vaccine Mandate and declaring that “imposing a vaccine mandate on 84 million Americans in response to a worldwide pandemic” is beyond the authority of the Biden Administration.
- As soon as the Biden administration initially announced plans to implement a Vaccine Mandate, the RNC vowed to fight back and immediately sued the same day the rule was released. The RNC continued the fight all the way to the Supreme Court and helped ensure its defeat.
