RNC STATEMENT ON ONGOING BORDER CRISIS, MAYORKAS' VISIT

WASHINGTON, D.C – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Communications Director Danielle Alvarez released the following statement on DHS Secretary Mayorkas’ visit to Del Rio:
 
“The Biden-Harris administration continues to ignore the humanitarian crisis they created at the border with their failed open border policies. Since Joe Biden took office, more than 1.2 million illegal immigrants have been apprehended at the border, an abject and avoidable failure. Mayorkas’ retroactive trip does not address the disaster created by Biden and Harris.”
 
This morning, 26 Governors from across the country released a joint letter urging the Biden administration to reverse its failed policies and get this crisis under control.
