RNC STATEMENT ON NATIONAL AGRICULTURE DAY
WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on National Agriculture Day:
“Today we celebrate our farmers, ranchers, fishermen, and other agriculture workers who have helped make our country great. Americans are grateful for their hard work that has kept our families fed, our stores supplied, and our economy moving throughout the pandemic. The Republican Party proudly supports policies that put the best interests of American agriculture and those who feed our country first.”
Background:
- Despite the importance of the agriculture community, Biden’s policies have left America’s farmers and ranchers out to dry.
- Inflation continues to surge while goods remain scarce, leaving many farms struggling to stay afloat.
- Biden proposed a death tax that would hurt family-owned farms and make it harder to pass family farms down to the next generation.
- On top of higher costs to operate, Biden’s open-borders agenda and increased environmental regulations threaten farmers’ livelihoods.
