RNC STATEMENT ON BIDEN’S VISIT TO NORTH CAROLINA

WASHINGTON - Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released this statement on Joe Biden's visit to North Carolina following new reports of skyrocketing inflation:
 
“Families in North Carolina and across the country are struggling to keep up with skyrocketing inflation, falling real wages, and Biden’s gas hike. Joe Biden’s empty rhetoric and broken promises prove just how little he and Democrats care." 
 
Background:

• March's Consumer Price Index surged by 8.5 percent compared to last year – exceeding economists' expectations and reaching a new 40-year high.
  • Since Biden’s failed $1.9 trillion “stimulus” was passed, inflation has outpaced wages every single month.
• As inflation continues to surge, the Biden White House has attempted to gaslight Americans into believing Biden’s inflation is due to the war in Ukraine.
• Inflation was “accelerating” long before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
• This is the 12^th consecutive month producer price increases have hit record highs.
• CBS / YouGov: 31% approve and 69% disapprove
• The Wall Street Journal: 34% approve and 63% disapprove
• ABC / Ipsos: 29% approve and 69% disapprove
• March’s Producer Price Index rose by 11.2 percent since last year, the highest increase on record.
