RNC CHAIRWOMAN RONNA MCDANIEL RELEASES “REAL AMERICA” PODCAST EPISODE FEATURING CONGRESSWOMAN KAT CAMMACK
The Republican National Committee (RNC) released today a new episode of “Real America,” a podcast hosted by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. In this episode, Chairwoman McDaniel and Congresswoman Kat Cammack sit down and discuss the left's attack on our police, how to protect America's farmland, and what it means to be a young, pro-life, conservative woman in Congress.
“Police are targets now. They have become people who are targeted by some really insane deranged people and Democrats are fueling that rhetoric. And I just thank you for your service and your husband's service. Our country is dealing with a 30% increase in homicide rates. It is disgusting what they are doing to our men and women in uniform at every level,” said Chairwoman McDaniel.
“I find it pretty hypocritical that a lot of Democrat members want to talk about justice, but it's never justice for the unborn and those who don't have a voice,” said Congresswoman Cammack. “We all take the same oath to the United States Constitution. We all are charged with upholding life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It's in our DNA as Americans. But if you can't protect life, then what are you doing?”
Chairwoman McDaniel and Congresswoman Cammack also discussed Cammack’s initiative to protect free speech on college campuses across the country.
“We are going around looking at the college campuses that have the worst [Foundation for Individual Rights in Education] ratings. And the FIRE ratings basically gauge the policies that these universities have in place to protect free speech on campus,” explained Cammack. “There's harassment, there's bullying, there's a double set of standards. And so I thought it was really important being the youngest Republican woman to take a stand against this.”
“I love that you're doing that. Thank you for doing that because they are trying to intimidate our kids from high school through college and prevent them from thinking for themselves and shame them for having a different mindset. The shutting down of free speech and telling students what to think and not how to think is frightening.” added Chairwoman McDaniel.
