Today’s podcast release is in conjunction with the grand opening of the RNC’s new Hispanic Community Center in Congressman Gonzales’ district in San Antonio, Texas. This is the fourth Hispanic community center the RNC has opened this cycle, the others being in Doral, Florida; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Laredo and McAllen, Texas. These community centers are part of the RNC's multi-million dollar effort to engage voters in Texas’s growing Hispanic community and across the country.

“We have such a great Hispanic culture in our country. But the Republican Party is seeing huge gains. Your seat is one of them. We just won a mayorship in McAllen, Texas, which is 85% Hispanic,” said Chairwoman McDaniel. “We're opening Community Centers in Laredo and McAllen and all across the country. And the reception we're getting, you're right because it's not about changing our message. It matters that your community looks at you and says, this is a person who represents me and my story. And I can relate to that person.”

In the podcast, Chairwoman McDaniel and Rep. Gonzales discuss the personal effect Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal had on Gonzales as a veteran, how the Congressman is continuing to deliver for his constituents, and how Republicans will win in 2022.

“There is anger, animosity towards President Biden for the way he handled things in Afghanistan. You can debate whether we should stay or leave all day long. That's not the issue. The issue is the manner in which they left,” said Representative Gonzales. “We have to be vocal. We can't just go and put our heads in the sand and pray that it all goes away. That's not enough. We have to push back with everything we got.”

“Real America” features stories from outside the beltway, highlights Republican leadership, and shows how Republican policies are leading America’s comeback and working for real Americans. Chairwoman McDaniel is offering the platform for Republican leaders to share their successes and for listeners to hear real stories from the exciting, leading voices in our Party. Previous episodes feature South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Kellyanne Conway, Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Representative Carlos Gimenez (R-FL), Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Representative Burgess Owens (R-UT), Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, any Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC).
