CONGRESSMAN MATT GAETZ WILL BE THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT THE FCGOP LINCOLN DAY DINNER

By Ken Raymond

The Forsyth County Republican Party is thrilled to present Congressman Matt Gaetz as the keynote speaker during our Lincoln Day Dinner on Friday, October 27th at Legacy Stables and Events Center located at 4151 Thomasville Road.

Doors open at 5 p.m.

Congressman Gaetz represents Florida’s First Congressional District and serves on the House Judiciary and Armed Services Committees. As an outspoken and fearless member of congress, he’s leading the charge to uncover corruption within the Department of Justice and the FBI. As a member of the House Judiciary Committee, Congressman Gaetz helped expose the failure of the Department of Homeland Security to secure our southern border and Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ complete surrender of U.S. national security to drug cartels, illegal immigration, and human trafficking.

Additionally, the congressman defends law enforcement, and crime victims, from radical leftists calling for our nation to defund the police. He also helped expose the deep of corruption of President Biden, his family, and his administration. Further, Congressman Gaetz has worked tirelessly to expose the expose the FBI’s unconstitutional influence over Big Tech and social media platforms.

And as a member of the Armed Services Committee, the Congressman fights against leftist military officials working to bring “wokeism” into the U.S. armed forces.

Congressman Gaetz is a national conservative leader unlike any we’ve seen in a long time, and you do not want to miss what he has to say to North Carolina republicans. We’re looking forward to seeing you all on October 27th!

SUPER MAJORITY DEFEATS 25 TEAMS TO TAKE SECOND PLACE IN THE FIRST ANNUAL VETERANS CUP TRIVIA NIGHT!

By Ken Raymond

Team Super Majority fell short by seven points, 60 to 53, to take second place in the First Annual Veterans Cup Trivia Night in mid-August.

The first-place team was Forsyth County Government Employees led by County Manager Dudley Watts.

Twenty-seven teams of eight people gathered at the Marriott Hotel, in downtown Winston-Salem, to support the event. The teams had to answer trivia questions from various categories such as American history, movies, TV shows, children’s stories, music, cartoons, military and world history.

Local veterans’ groups organized the event to raise money for veterans in need and about $30,000 was raised by the end of the night.

The members of Super Majority were Ken Raymond, Candi Boone, Ralf Walters, Alton Absher, Sarah Absher, Christin McMasters, Mike Ortegon, and Wes Schollander.
