CHAIRMAN'S CORNER

Ken Raymond, Chairman

What's More Important To You?

First of all, congratulations to all our republican candidates that won their races during the primary election. You worked hard and made great sacrifices to win your place on the ballot in November. And you did it because you love your country, your community, and you’re determined to do what you can to get it back on track. For that, we all thank you and your supporters.

Competitive primaries are a lot like it was decades ago when mothers forced their children to take a big table-spoon full of castor oil. They forced it down your throat because it was good for you, but it always left a very bad taste in your mouth.

Yes, primaries are healthy. They force us to stick with our principles and stay on track. However, they also force long-time friends and allies to take sides. And that’s what tends to linger, like a bad taste in your mouth from swallowing too much castor oil.

Yuck!

That’s when you must make yourself see the big picture. And in that picture, we see communist encroachment in our country; we see our country on the brink of hyperinflation; we see our children being taught to hate each other because of the color of someone’s skin; and we see our southern border being overrun with illegal immigrants.

If you were a candidate and you lost during the primary, or the candidate you supported lost you must ask yourself these questions: what’s more important to you, making sure the republican party knows you’re upset or stopping your children from being taught that they should hate other children?

What’s more important to you; expressing your frustration about the election results or stopping the flood of illegal immigration? What’s more important to you; drawing satisfaction from watching your fellow republicans struggle through the general election, or doing what you can to stop skyrocketing gas prices?

It’s time to change what we see in that big picture. And it’s going to take all of us to do it.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

A big congratulations to all of the Republican Primary winners!

ELECTION DAY OPERATIONS COMMITTEE

Wrap Up & Thank You by Pat Kleinmaier

ON behalf of the Election Day Operations Committee of the FCGOP, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2022 primary. We were able to place hundreds of Early Voting workers, judges, assistants and poll observers on the inside.  The BOE admitted we had the most Republicans assigned ever!!!

I enjoyed teaching my first class of training for the Poll Observers. Our observers did a great job of watching and reporting any wrong doings, which were VERY few.  The judges noticed this too; Keeping them honest is the goal.

Thanks to those who stepped up to help all the candidates we had running for our local races.  People were informed and prepared when they went into vote.

Turnout was 16.45% which is really good for a rescheduled primary in an off presidential year.. Our Republicans turned out in large numbers to vote for our huge slate of primary candidates.

Thank you to Kathleen Marshall who worked with the Mat team to help the under served secure absentee ballots and then went back and assisted them in completing their ballot.

Thank you to those who we called on at the last minute to stop by the polls on Tuesday night to pick up a copy of the tabulator tape.  You stepped up quickly and we secured Poll Tapes of more than 75% of our precincts in less than 5 days.  TEAM WORK!!

Kathleen Marshall, Tina Scholdfield, and myself called and texted people to work.  Melissa Thompson stepped up in the final days to assist us with our overwhelming data work.

A big thank you to our fearless leader, Joan Fleming, who worked tirelessly to fill spots, move people and do the job of the BOE to get a Republican or UNA on our side in all but 8 precincts on Election Day. We would have had 100% but they added 7 new precincts this year. She mostly did this job alone and in the middle of the night! Texting us at 4:15am with another list to call. We would not be here today without her leadership

Turn out was 16.45% which is really good for a rescheduled primary in an off presidential year in MAY!  Our Republicans turned out in large numbers to vote for our huge slate of primary candidates and CONGRATULATIONS to all our winners and all our candidates!  Elections cannot be held fair and secure without help and devotion to the cause.  That is the ultimate goal of the FCGOP!  We will be taking some time off but will be back at it In July as we prepare for the November election.  We look forward to helping our candidates secure victory with a fair election. Please reach out to any of us if you would like to work in some way and we will try out best to contact you and give you an assignment.
If you are interested in knowing more about Election Day Operations, please join us.  We are here to train and mentor others.  PLUS... we need your help!
