Republican Rundown 4/28/21

REPUBLICAN RUNDOWN

April 28, 2021

Vol. 2, No. 4

CHAIRMAN'S CORNER:

KEN RAYMOND

After all the effort spent by NC Elections Director, Karen Brinson Bell, circumventing election law to ensure the integrity of our elections last year, and since election results were delayed for weeks without an explanation…... No one should be surprised by the growing calls for the NC General Assembly to mandate a public audit of the 2020 general election.

And no one should be surprised that NC House Representative (District 14), George Cleveland, recently asked Ms. Bell to respond to the report of a Michigan court showing modem chips were embedded within ES&S voting equipment in Michigan. The same equipment is used by approximately 80 North Carolina counties, including Forsyth.

However, Ms. Bell seemed genuinely surprised.  She was not only surprised but shocked, appalled, and deeply offended that anyone would suggest that just because modem chips were found in ES&S equipment in Michigan, they could have also been hidden in voting equipment in North Carolina!

The modems referenced in the article…are not present in any ES&S machine in North Carolina,” she claimed. “We have confirmed this with ES&S.”

Are you feeling better yet about the security of OUR election?  I’m sure North Carolina voters are relieved to know that there are no modems in ES&S’s equipment because WHY:  ES&S said so...seriously?  She just created more distrust.

Our nation has seen voter and election fraud before and yes, we have seen public officials abuse their power and position to ensure specific outcomes of a political race for years.  However, the 2020 election was certainly the very first time Americans witnessed private election systems and software providers participating in election fraud.

North Carolina voters have good reasons to be concerned about ES&S voting equipment. According to a January article published in CD Media, Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, posted an online guide during the summer of 2019, explaining how Dominion, ES&S, and Smartmatic voting systems can be hacked. Yes, that’s right! Georgia’s Secretary of State provided a roadmap on Georgia’s election security to anyone with access to the internet.

And we all saw the election chaos that occurred in Georgia on Election day and during the January 5th runoff.

Since November, high-profile attorneys have made Dominion Voting Systems famous by pointing out its regular use to ensure the election of socialist dictators in Central and South America.  Well, the same CD media article points out that Dominion Systems and ES&S share the same code.

For those of you who are like me and have a superficial understanding of computers, the source code is a list of instructions written by a programmer when first developing a program and is needed when providing a computer with instructions. And that means that anyone that hacked the Georgia elections is capable of hacking North Carolina elections.

Since there is a “reasonable chance” that our state’s widely used ES&S voting machines have an embedded modem chip in them and for the sake of future elections, we all must join the call for the General Assembly to conduct an audit of the 2020 election

The North Carolina General Assembly has both the duty and the constitutional authority to audit the election results

Please go to this LINK https://voterintegrityproject.com/audit-2021/  and request that our NC General Assembly use their constitutional authority and conduct an audit of the 2020 election.  No Governor veto is possible as long as Speaker Tim Moore and Senate Majority Leader, Phil Berger, consent to the measure.
