Republican Rundown 4/14/21

REPUBLICAN RUNDOWN

April 14, 2021

Vol. 2, No. 3

CHAIRMAN'S CORNER:

KEN RAYMOND

I want to give you an update of what we have accomplished in the last month since I was elected as FCGOP Chairman.

  • We now have 62 Precinct chairs, up from 36!
  • We have had two GOP DataCenter training classes
  • We have trained 40+ chairs on how to use GOP DataCenter
  • We have produced a GOP DataCenter Quick Start Manual and emailed it to all Precinct Chairs
  • We are planning more classes to train all Precinct officers
  • We are working on a new Precinct manual
  • We sent the Precinct chairs a Precinct Organization PowerPoint
  • We sent the Precinct Chairs two sections from the proposed Precinct Manual dealing with the duties of the Chair
  • We have established a working relationship with Congressman Patrick McHenry

AND THIS IS ONLY THE FIRST MONTH!!

As I said in my first Republican Rundown, we are investing the time to ensure everything is correct and proper procedures are in place to sustain the local party for years to come. As your leadership team finishes reviewing, replacing, editing, and every other “ing”, we will provide you with updated information.  For example, after the data training sessions, we saw a need to provide a Quick Start manual for reference…it was  produced and has been emailed to Precinct Chairs.

Below you will find information about the Republican Men and Women’s clubs.  Please support both organizations.  The Men will meet the second Monday of each month and the Women the 4th Thursday each month (this month they are meeting this Thursday.)  This is a good way to meet new like-minded people and to become involved.

It is our aim to keep the lines of communications open and to inform you of what we are doing. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] with any comments and/or concerns.

VICE CHAIRMAN'S CORNER:

HAROLD EUSTACHE

I had the pleasure to speak at the Monday Conservative Lunch and give them a brief outline of the duties of Government Watch Committee.  We are committed to supporting our local elected officials and in holding our local government accountable to all not just a select few.  If you are interested in the Government Watch Committee, please contact me at [email protected] and let’s talk about how you would like to participate.  We also have established a Facebook page which we update with information on upcoming meetings.

LET US USE OUR VOICE!!!

FORSYTH COUNTY REPUBLICAN MEN'S CLUB

The Forsyth County Republican Men’s Club (FCRM) met Monday night at Little Richard’s on Stratford Road.  The guest speaker was Chairman Ken Raymond, who spoke on voting integrity.  There was a huge turnout – over 40 people were there.  It appeared that over half of the those in attendance were there for the first time.  The next meeting will be Monday, May 7.  Scott Arnold is the President and can be reached at [email protected].  They also have a Facebook page.

FORSYTH COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN

The Forsyth County Republican Women (FCRW) will be meeting this Thursday, April 15 at Golden Corral at Hanes Mall.  The guest speaker will be Alex Nelson who will speak about the conditions at the border.  Come eat at 5:30pm (make sure you tell them you are with the FCRW for the discount) and the meeting will start at 6:30pm.  Please contact Terri Mrazek at [email protected]

10TH DISTRICT CONVENTION RECAP

Last Saturday, April 10th, the 10th Congressional District held their annual convention in Troutman.  Forsyth County had 10 delegates in attendance (I am sensing a theme!!).  The delegates heard from NCGOP Chair Michael Whatley; Congressman Patrick McHenry; former Congressman and current U.S. Senate candidate Mark Walker; State Treasurer Dale Folwell;

NC Court of Appeals Justice Richard Dietz; Rockingham Sheriff Sam Page, and several other candidates and officials.  The convention re-elected the current 10th CD leadership of Kevin Austin (from Yadkinville) and Forsyth’s own Tim Flinchum as Third Vice Chair.  Congratulations to all.

Judge Dietz announced he would be running next year for the NC Supreme Court.  Two Democrat Judges are running for re-election and if we are able to win at least one of those seats, it would flip the Court from 4-3 Democrat to 4-3 Republican.  He also said there were 2 Republican and 2 Democrat seats up for re-election on the Court of Appeals.  Currently the Court is 10-5 Republican; if we keep the 2 Republican seats and pick up the 2 Democrat seats, the Court will be 15-3 Republican.  It sounds as if there will be another State-wide Judicial Victory team running that we all can support.

If you are in the 10th District and were not able to attend the convention this year, please plan on attending next year.  My guess is that all the Republican candidates for the open Senate seat will be attending and it will be a wonderful opportunity to meet and hear them.

6TH DISTRICT CONVENTION

The 6th Congressional District Convention will be held April 22, 2021.  Doors will open at 5:30pm and the Convention will be gaveled in at 6:30 pm.  The 6th CD is composed eastern part of Forsyth and all of Guilford County.

We urge you to attend this Convention if you are in the 6th CD.  We will be electing new officers who will serve for the next two years.

The cost of this Convention will be $20 for credentialed delegates and for guests. You may attend either in person or via Zoom.

There are several special speakers scheduled.

  • Speaker Tim Moore - Election Integrity in NC
  • Mark Meckler, Interim CEO, Parler - 1st Amendment & Big Tech

The Convention Chair will be Mayor BJ Barnes, Summerfield, NC.
