“Everything Woke, Turns to Crap!”

This famous, insightful, and profoundly wise sentiment was first expressed by President Donald Trump during a rally in Cullman, Alabama last August. And of course, the President Trump didn’t use the word “crap” but an expletive that begins with the letter “s.” Decades ago, I decided not to use curse words in my conversations so I’m paraphrasing.

President Trump defined “wokeness” as “a shortcut to losing everything.” It happens when companies embrace Marxist ideology and try to impose these ideas on their customers—the American people. The customers, in turn, reject the ideology and reject the products and services from companies that try to force Marxism upon them.

And although many would say that the president’s thoughts were crudely expressed, the truth within it is extremely powerful and cannot be ignored. And now the president’s words are found on t-shirts, sweaters, mugs, posters, caps, Christmas ornaments, and various pieces of merchandise making money for a lot of people.

But whether we paraphrase or not, the Salvation Army recently discovered the truth in the presidents’ words. Just before Thanksgiving, last month, the Christian charitable organization went “woke” and issued a statement that asked all their white donors consider their racist beliefs, this year, and implied that Christianity is a racist institution.

An intense backlash from Christian supporters, nationwide, followed and forced the organization to backtrack on their wokeness. The organization issued an apology which can be found here.

But it maybe too late for them. After insulting their donors, the Salvation Army is now dealing with a great shortage of toys just before Christmas as well as monetary donations. For example, the Northwest Red Kettle, the Salvation Army’s Northwest Division based in Seattle, Washington, has only collected $419 dollars. Their goal is to raise $10,000 before Christmas and, so far, they recorded only nine supporters.

Salvation Army National Commander Ken Hodder issued a statement saying that “the situation is dire.” Perhaps the commander would not have led the Salvation Army down this path if someone gave him a t-shirt with Trump’s statement on it in big bold letters. Or maybe the commander expected Black Lives Matter to step in and mitigate the loss from their Christian supporters. If that’s the case, the commander has truly found the shortcut to losing everything, just as the president said.

I’m very disappointed to see a well-known, world-wide Christian organization succumb to the leftist mob. I’m sure we all are. And the worst thing about it is that many people around in this country, and around the world, will not get the help they normally receive from the Salvation Army this year.

And now, the Salvation Army has added themselves to the growing list of successful organizations that decided to go “woke” and go broke. Organizations such as the NFL, the NBA, ESPN, Coke, the Boy Scouts of America, Facebook, Starbucks, Nike, and entertainment award shows.

The Salvation Army has done a lot of good work for a long time. And after they renounce “wokeness” I truly hope that they’ll recover from this.

FCGOP IS RECRUITING ONE-STOP EARLY VOTING WORKERS

You can go ahead and volunteer for One-Stop Early Voting. You can work in shifts, working no more than 7 hours a day. Compensation is $12/hour and training will be provided by the Board of Elections.

Responsibilities include: checking in voters, issuing ballots, activating the ballot-marking device, managing the tabulator, reconciling the voter applications, and curbside voting. One-Stop Early Voting Workers assist with the tasks assigned by the site Lead, including the daily opening and closing process of the early voting site.

I seek to arm fellow lovers of liberty with knowledge, knowledge that is painfully lacking and desperately needed. Knowledge first and foremost of the Constitution. The Constitution is our government’s job description and we are the government’s employers. How can we hold our government accountable to their job if we don’t even know their job description?” Please join us for a great time with fellow patriots!
