Cure Violence Global is Fake Science

Now more than ever, the American people must be aware of the growing amount of fake science that appears to be surrounding us on all sides. Skepticism towards everything presented to us as so called “scientific facts” is now necessary to make decisions that are in your best interest, and in the best interest of your family. Many of these experts rely heavily upon the individual’s ignorance about their profession. And they use science jargon to convince them that they know what they’re talking about and help win their confidence. And if they win the confidence of the people, the people are more likely to comply with their recommendations.

The latest incarnation of fake science comes courtesy of the Winston-Salem City Council in the form of its new crime prevention program called Cure Violence Global. And it doesn’t take someone with a PHD to see that Cure Violence Global is more fake science, just like global warming.

Cure Violence Global, which is based in Chicago, Illinois, is a crime prevention program developed by the former head of the World Health Organization Dr. Gary Slutkin. Sluttkin believes that health professionals should be used to prevent, treat, and control violence. According to the website video, Dr. Slutkin specializes in infectious diseases and believes that crime is a public health issue. CVG is also active in Latin America, North Africa, Central and South Africa and South America.

The organization teaches that violence is a contagious process and should be handled the same as a contagion. It promotes the idea that criminals and violent offenders, during the daily course of their non-violent lives, contracted the “violence” bug and unwittingly transmitted the disease to others. Perhaps someone that was carrying the “violence germ” sneezed on someone that was non-violent.

CVG is trying to get the world to understand that these victims of the “violence germ” cannot help themselves. After all, who knows who is carrying this disease? It could be your spouse, your co-worker, your best friend, or any one of the hundreds of people the average person encounters every day.

This is FAKE SCIENCE! Violence is the result of a choice made by individuals, nothing more. People make the conscience, and often, emotional decision whether to commit an act of violence or to live a violent life. This is just another effort by the globalist left to rationalize unacceptable behavior and deceive offenders, as well as others, into believing that violent offenders are not responsible for their own behavior and therefore shouldn’t be held responsible.

For decades, the American Civil Liberties Union has done the same thing. The ACLU has worked in our courts, throughout this country, trying to convince judges that violent offenders are not responsible for their own behavior. But this spawn of the World Health Organization is much more dangerous.

What if CVG health professionals and experts impress the community with their “scientific facts” and their “scientific jargon” enough to win their confidence? Will these health experts begin to write prescriptions for violent offenders? And since they believe that violence is like a contagious disease, will these health professionals recommend a vaccine?

Police officers help control violence with the use of the tools provided by the state, such as handcuffs, guns, pepper spray, and night sticks. How else can a health professional treat and control violence except with the use of drugs?

Again, think Tuskegee Experiment.

This is what Mayor Allen Joines and the Winston-Salem City Council has unleased upon this city. All we can do is wait and see what happens.

FCGOP CANDIDATE TRAINING WORKSHOP

The Forsyth County Republican Party held a Candidate Training Workshop on Saturday, November 13th at the Village Inn Hotel and Events Center in Clemmons. The event was designed to assist candidates for public office that have never run for an elected position before and help them prepare for the campaign trail next year.

About 20 individuals attended including incumbent state representative Jeff Zenger from NC House district 74, Senator Joyce Krawiec from the 31st senate district, and incumbent school board members Lida Calvert-Hayes, and Dana Caudill Jones.

The training material was produced by Chairman Raymond and the Candidate Recruiting Committee with assistance from county chairmen statewide. Our incumbent office holders contributed vital insights to help the potential candidates lay the groundwork for 2022.

Basic campaign operations were taught by FCGOP Chairman Ken Raymond, who shared his experience as a candidate for Winston-Salem City Council in 1997 and 2001, and Candidate Recruiting Committee member and constitutional scholar Christin McMasters. McMasters taught the future candidates their constitutional duties and responsibilities as public servants. McMasters also added to the candidate’s understanding of the need for a constitution, why we need government, and addressed who is the employer and the employee in a constitutional republic. McMasters also reviewed job description of the government as provided in the Constitution.

Among the attendees were first-time candidates for Congress, the Forsyth County School Board, Forsyth County Sheriff, and individuals that want to run for office but have not decided which position to campaign for next year.

Filing for 2022 elections opens at noon on Monday, December 6th and closes at noon on Friday, December 17th. Chairman Raymond has also informed the attendees that the Candidate Recruiting Committee will continue to search for candidates for all positions on the ballot next year, until the close of filing on December 17th.

VOTER INTEGRITY COMMITTEE

Celebration of a Successful Harvest

As we look around at the chaotic state of affairs that Joe Biden and the democrats have thrown us into after only 10 months of occupying the White House, I sometimes forget to be grateful and thankful for what I do have as a citizen of this great country.

Because of the Mayflower Compact and subsequently our Constitution, I have no doubts that our country was ordained by divine providence.  Our entire foundation as a country is perpetrated on Biblical principles.   Although many of the democrats today would like to “cancel” our rich history of recognizing this Pilgrim and Native American Celebration, fortunately for us, it’s a Federal Holiday and enough Americans understand and appreciate its importance to our way of life.

So, across the fruited plain, Americans next week will serve hot meals to the less fortunate; check on our neighbors who may live alone and say “grace” over our bountiful harvest with family and friends. I think the Pilgrims would approve.

On behalf of the Election and Voter Integrity Committee,

Happy Thanksgiving!
Toni Settle, Chair
Forsyth County Voter Integrity Committee
