Vol. 3, No. 10

CONGRESSMAN MATT GAETZ WILL BE THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT THE FCGOP LINCOLN DAY DINNER

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!! The Forsyth County Republican Party is thrilled to present Congressman Matt Gaetz as the keynote speaker during our Lincoln Day Dinner on Friday, October 27th at Legacy Stables and Events Center located at 4151 Thomasville Road.

Doors open at 5 p.m.

Congressman Gaetz represents Florida’s First Congressional District and serves on the House Judiciary and Armed Services Committees. As an outspoken and fearless member of congress, he’s leading the charge to uncover corruption within the Department of Justice and the FBI. As a member of the House Judiciary Committee, Congressman Gaetz helped expose the failure of the Department of Homeland Security to secure our southern border and Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ complete surrender of U.S. national security to drug cartels, illegal immigration, and human trafficking.

VETERANS DAY PARADE

Please go to the parade and support our veterans! The FCGOP Community Engagement Committee will be providing free coffee, donuts, and other snacks to veterans before the parade begins. The parade will take place on Saturday, November 4th at 10:00 am on 4th Street in downtown Winston-Salem.

We need several volunteers to help at the table and welcome the veterans from 8:30 am until 10:00 am when the parade begins. We will be set up in front of Foothills Brewery at 638 West 4th Street.

We also need one volunteer who can go to Krispy Kreme on Stratford Road between 8-8:30 am and pick up donuts that will already be ordered and paid for, and then bring them to our table on 4th Street. Please email Community Engagement Chair Colleen Lopina at [email protected] if you can help in any way.

JOIN THE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT TEAM

The FCGOP Community Engagement Committee could use your help. The Community Engagement Committee does fun projects throughout the year to support police officers, firefighters, veterans and others. Your involvement can be as much or as little as your schedule allows. An informational email about upcoming activities is sent to members about once a month. It's a fun way to meet other Republicans and make a positive difference in our community. Last week volunteers worked together at the FCGOP Headquarters to prepare goody bags for firefighters. Pictured below are JoAnn Dunn, Terri Mrazek, Leslie Provence, Ann Barnouw, Yvonne Williams, Nancy Glander, Colleen Lopina. Anita Moody (not pictured) also assisted.

For more information or to join the committee, please contact Colleen Lopina at [email protected].
