REPUBLICAN RUNDOWN

October 2, 2024

Vol. 5, No. 16

URGENT!!
POLL OBSERVERS AND GREETERS STILL NEEDED

As you know the "election season" is upon us and YES, it promises to be brutal.  We have 17 days of Early Voting at 18 locations with voting starting October 17, 2024.
In this election, our goal is to ensure voter integrity in Forsyth County and make sure every legal vote is counted.  Election Integrity is on everyone's mind, and it takes more than a team...we need an ARMY of volunteers, both during Early Voting and Election Day.  How can you help?  We need Poll Observers and Poll Greeters!
POLL OBSERVERS work on the inside of the voting precinct in four hour shifts every day during Early Voting and during Election Day.  Training is provided by the NCGOP via ZOOM (links to multiple training time options will be provided).
To be a Poll Observer during Early Voting please sign up using this link:
To serve as a Poll Observer on Election Day please sign up using this link:
GREETERS work outside the voting precinct and distribute palm cards supporting our Republican candidates. They also work four hour shifts during each day of Early Voting and Election Day.
To serve as a Greeter during Early Voting please sign up using this link:
To serve as a Greeter on Election Day please sign up using this link:
Remember - we need your help!  If you have questions and want to learn more, please contact Melissa Thompson, 484-919-0261.
Thank you for volunteering!

FCGOP CAR CARAVAN

Saturday, October 26, 2 PM
Meet in the parking lot behind the FCGOP Headquarters
300 Jonestown Rd, Winston Salem

The FCGOP will be promoting our Republican candidates and values through a car caravan. Everyone is invited to join in the fun! We'll be meeting in the parking lot behind the headquarters at 2 pm and decorating our cars with patriotic decorations and Republican candidate signs. Then we'll drive as a caravan on a prepared route on heavily trafficked streets throughout Winston-Salem.
If you have any questions, please contact Caravan Coordinator Preston Chaffee at [email protected].

BREAKFAST FOR VETERANS

On Wednesday, October 2nd, a group of Forsyth County Republicans provided breakfast for veterans at the Veterans Cup coffee meeting at the American Legion Post 55.
A big thank you to all the volunteers who provided a huge amount of food including pastries, fruit, breakfast casseroles, and juice, and to County Commissioner Gloria D. Whisenhunt for providing ham biscuits. The veterans were very appreciative!
Veterans Cup meets weekly in different locations in the Triad and veterans, spouses, and advocates for veterans are invited for free coffee and donuts, camaraderie and information vital to veterans. Their slogan is Bridging Generations of Veterans one cup at a time, and more information can be found at their website - https://www.veteranscup.org/

PROMOTING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES AT FORSYTH TECH FALL FESTIVAL

FCGOP Chairman Ken Raymond and Community Engagement Chairman Colleen Lopina represented the FCGOP at Forsyth Tech Community College's Fall Festival on October 8th. They spoke with lots of students and staff members about Republican candidates, handed out voter information, signed up new members for the Young Republicans Club, and registered new voters.
It was a great opportunity to connect with young people and promote Republican values!

FCGOP CAR CARAVAN: A BIG SUCCESS!

On Saturday afternoon, October 12, two car caravans with Republican signs, flags and patriotic decorations traveled the roads of Forsyth County. One caravan went through Winston-Salem and the other drove to Clemmons and Lewisville. They received a lot of positive feedback with other drivers honking and waving. This is a great way to show Republican enthusiasm to the community and could encourage others to vote Republican.
There will be another car caravan on Saturday, October 26 at 2 pm. Meet in the parking lot behind the FCGOP headquarters to decorate cars and get driving directions. Bring any patriotic decorations and flags that you have and some will be provided.
If you have any questions, please contact Caravan Coordinator Preston Chaffee at [email protected].
