First Responders Appreciation Event for 9/11

FIRST RESPONDERS APPRECIATION EVENT FOR 9/11

The Forsyth County Republican Party showed its appreciation for our First Responders last week in honor of 9/11. We provided snacks and drinks for around 400 officers and firefighters. Thank you notes were attached to each goody bag and they all seemed really happy and touched to be remembered in this way.

The Targeted Outreach Committee would like to thank everyone who generously donated the snacks and drinks, Chris Bowen and Trim USA for donating reflective red line and blue line bumper stickers for each goody bag, and the volunteer team who packed the bags.

We greatly appreciated all the volunteers who delivered items to the First Responders. We covered the Sheriff's Office, the Downtown Police Station, Precinct 1, Precinct 2, Precinct 3, Special Operations and the Kernersville Police station. We also visited the following fire stations: Griffith Road, Peace Haven Road, Somerset Drive, Arbor Road, Old Town, Vienna, all Kernersville stations, Belews Creek, Walkertown, Lewisville and both Clemmons stations.

If you would like to volunteer for future events like this, please contact Targeted Outreach Committee Chair Colleen Lopina at [email protected].
