CANDIDATES FOR THE U. S. SENATE

At their monthly meeting on May 27th the FCRW heard from all five candidates who are running in 2022 for the Senate seat currently held by Senator Richard Burr. It was the first time they had spoken together in one setting. In addition, current State Republican Party Chairman, Mike Whatley, was present and spoke briefly on the importance of carrying N. C. for the Party. The candidates who spoke to a packed meeting were Former Governor of N.C., Patrick McCrory, Current 13th District U. S. Representative Ted Budd, Former 6th District U. S Representative Mark Walker, Jen Banwart, formerly with the U; S. Dept. of Defense, and Brunswick County Commissioner J. Martin Cooke.

Each candidate spoke on their vision for our country and why a Republican majority is so crucial if we are to protect our borders from the influx of criminals and drugs, maintain the integrity of our voting process, retain a pro-American position with other countries throughout the world and stop the spread of Socialism that will destroy our economy.

FCRW President, Terri Mrazek, welcomed the speakers and gave members of the audience the opportunity to ask pertinent questions of the candidates.
