“Real America” Podcast Discussion on Border Crisis Featured on Fox & Friends

BRIAN KILMEADE: It is ridiculous. They just came out with numbers - 1.7 million illegals have already crossed our southern border, 540,000 are staying. They said they sent 60 percent back - I doubt that. Congressman Tony Gonzalez says it gets worse than that, some of these people coming across are terrorists, listen.

REP. TONY GONZALES (CLIP FROM "REAL AMERICA" PODCAST): I just met with the foreign minister of Panama. She goes, there are over 100,000 migrants coming through Panama on the way to the United States as we speak. And she goes, funny you ask that Tony, because in Panama we do biometrics and we've apprehended 52 people that are associated with Al-Qaeda.

BRIAN KILMEADE: Your reaction.

SEN. MARCO RUBIO: Well, I heard the same thing a few weeks ago from the Foreign Minister of Panama, so it is pretty consistent. What happens is this, Panama is kind of like the chokepoint after the Darien Gap crossing over from South America. Migrants, some of whom have been living in these other countries, Chile, Columbia, for many years now decided to make a move to the United States. Panama is the first country on that route that actually stops people and sort of assesses who they are and takes biometrics and so forth. So, you're going to catch people coming from all over the world. We are talking tens of thousands of people that are in route as we speak across multiple countries in the Western Hemisphere, but they're all coming through Panama as they come to the United States. That is the first country that actually stops people and assesses who they are. And the administration knows it and there is tremendous frustration. In fact, I have heard the Biden administration has threatened government leaders in Panama to not complain about this and stop making a big deal out of it, or there will be consequences for our country’s relationship. They told them to stay quiet and stop talking about it.
