Majorities Matter: From the Presidency All the Way Down the Ballot

At the national level, President Trump cannot effectively advance his agenda without a strong, dependable majority in both the House and the Senate. When Congress is divided, gridlock takes over, priorities stall, and national leadership becomes limited in what it can accomplish. A unified majority is essential for meaningful progress on the issues voters care about.

The same principle applies at the state level. Governors and state legislatures can only deliver results when they have the numbers to pass legislation, set policy direction, and respond decisively to challenges. Without majority support, even the strongest leadership becomes constrained.

Locally, our County Commissioners face the same reality. They cannot move forward on key initiatives or address community needs effectively unless they hold a majority. Leadership requires the ability to act, and action requires votes.

And at the school board level, the impact is just as significant. A school board cannot shape curriculum, set priorities, or respond to parents’ concerns in a meaningful way unless it has a majority aligned on direction and values. Without that, the board’s ability to make lasting change is limited.

This is why every single race matters, from the presidency all the way down to the school board. Every seat influences how our community is governed, how our schools operate, how our state functions, and how our nation moves forward. When voters only focus on the top of the ballot, they overlook the structure that determines whether any agenda can succeed.

Majorities matter. Engagement matters. Every race matters. Full participation across the entire ballot is essential if we want effective leadership at every level of government.
