Forsyth was the first county to have a Republican Women's Club. Anne Hickman was the founder and the first President. President Dwight Eisenhower wrote Anne thanking her and crediting the Forsyth County Republican Women (FCRW) for his win.

For example, there is a Legislative Day in May, where the FCRW goes down to Raleigh to join the NCFRW, meet our legislatures, and may therefore lobby on a current bill or issue.
